Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Inspector role based in Abu Dhabi.
The Electrical Inspector will carry out daily inspections of electrical installations on construction sites to verify compliance with TAQA standards and approved drawings, project specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
Responsibilities include monitoring workmanship and materials, identifying non-conformities, and coordinating with contractors to ensure timely corrective actions.
The role involves preparing inspection reports, maintaining accurate records, and supporting quality control processes throughout the project lifecycle.
The Electrical Inspector will also review method statements, participate in site meetings, and collaborate with engineers, safety personnel, and local authorities to ensure safe and reliable electrical systems.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of electricity and electrical engineering principles, with the ability to interpret technical drawings and TAQA specifications.
- Demonstrated experience in electrical safety practices, including hazard identification, safe work procedures, and compliance with HSE requirements.
- Proficiency in quality control for electrical works, including inspections, documentation, and verification of materials and installation methods.
- Hands-on experience with code enforcement and adherence to relevant local and international electrical codes and standards.
- Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
- Previous experience in site supervision or inspection on infrastructure projects, preferably in the UAE Abu Dhabi.
- Familiarity with Abu Dhabi or UAE authority requirements and approval processes is an advantage.
- Strong communication and reporting skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and engage professionally with contractors and stakeholders.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to ethical, safe, and high-quality work.
