Qualifications
- BSc in Electrical Engineering with one (1) to three (3) years of experience in an Electrical Switchgear Engineering.
- Registration with APEGA as a P.Eng. is an asset (if candidate does not meet APEGA registration requirements, the position will be classified as Electrical Designer).
- Work Authorization: This is a permanent position. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in Canada at the time of hire. Immigration sponsorship is not typically available and will be considered only where supported by business needs and applicable legal requirements.
- Working Conditions
- Temperature controlled working environment.
- Must wear personnel protective equipment at all times (i.e., hard hats, safety glasses, safety harnesses as required) and respirators when required.
- Job requires working in an office/shop setting.
- Working in front of a computer for the majority of the shift.
- Physical Requirements
- Maintaining body equilibrium and agility to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching, ascending or descending stairs.
- Bending the body at the waist, the legs at the knees, and extending arms and hands in any direction in a repetitive manner.
- Standing, walking, and speaking for long periods of time.
- Using upper extremities to apply or exert a force up to 20lbs.
- Typing, punching or applying pressure to an object with fingers and palm.
- Perceiving size, shape, temperature or texture by touching with the fingertips.
