Position overview
Electrical Engineer reporting to the Contracts Manager.
Lead the design, coordination, and execution of electrical engineering projects from concept through completion.
Project location varies and is based on the project site.
Responsibilities
- Develop and review schematic drawings and single-line diagrams, and comply with project-specific safety requirements.
- Design high- and low-voltage equipment and control and protection systems.
- Specify, select, and procure equipment; prepare and interpret technical specifications and enquiry documentation.
- Assist with technical and contract documentation for issue.
- Monitor program progress and issue progress reports.
- Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
Qualifications and experience
- Third-level degree in Electrical Engineering and at least 3 years' experience working as an Electrical Engineer.
- Experience in the power and renewables sector.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety standards and engineering principles.
- Strong communication, planning, and organizational skills; ability to prioritize deadlines with attention to detail.
- Ability to influence colleagues at all levels and work as part of a high-performing team.
