Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Electrical Engineer role based in Dubai.
The Electrical Engineer will design and review electrical systems for MEP and fit-out projects, including load calculations, layouts, single line diagrams, and panel schedules.
Responsibilities include preparing and checking electrical drawings and specifications, coordinating with architects, mechanical engineers, and contractors, and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards.
The role involves conducting site inspections, resolving technical issues, supporting installation and commissioning activities, and verifying that work is executed according to approved designs.
The Electrical Engineer will also assist in material selection, vendor coordination, cost estimation, and provide technical input during bidding and project planning.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Electrical Engineering and Electricity, with the ability to apply core principles to building services and MEP projects.
- Proficiency in Electrical Design, including load calculations, layout design, and preparation of technical documentation.
- Experience with Power Distribution systems, such as LV panels, switchgear, cabling, and protective devices.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
- Familiarity with relevant international and local electrical codes and standards - DEWA.
- Experience using design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit or similar) and standard engineering tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and safety.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with multidisciplinary teams and site personnel.
- Previous experience in MEP, fit-out, or construction projects in the GCC region is an advantage.
