Climatech Charger is looking for a qualified
Electrical Design Engineer
to join our team and support our growing EV charging projects across Saudi Arabia.
Role Overview
The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for site surveys, electrical design, technical documentation, and execution supervision for EV charging infrastructure projects, including AC and DC charging stations for commercial, residential, fleet, and public charging applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct site surveys to assess electrical capacity, installation feasibility, cable routes, MDB/DB conditions, earthing, civil requirements, and site readiness.
- Prepare site survey reports, technical observations, and recommendations for EV charger installation.
- Prepare electrical design drawings, including SLDs, electrical layouts, load calculations, cable sizing, voltage drop calculations, earthing, and protection coordination.
- Review supplier datasheets and ensure charger compatibility with site conditions and project requirements.
- Prepare technical documentation, BOQs, material specifications, and complete design packages.
- Support SEC-related requirements, client submissions, approvals, and technical clarifications.
- Coordinate with project, procurement, installation, and commissioning teams to ensure design feasibility and smooth execution.
- Supervise site execution works and ensure installation is carried out according to approved drawings, project specifications, safety requirements, and quality standards.
- Provide technical support during installation, testing, and commissioning stages.
- Ensure all designs and execution activities comply with applicable Saudi standards, electrical codes, safety requirements, and EV charging best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Must have a valid Iqama in Saudi Arabia.
- 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical design, power systems, low-voltage systems, infrastructure projects, or similar fields.
- Experience in EV charging projects is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of site surveys, load calculations, cable sizing, protection devices, earthing systems, and electrical distribution.
- Ability to prepare and review SLDs, electrical layouts, BOQs, design packages, and site survey reports.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design tools.
- Familiarity with Saudi electrical standards, SEC requirements, and site execution practices is an advantage.
- Strong coordination, documentation, site supervision, and communication skills.
