Role
Electrical Design Engineer role; the description identifies Abu Dhabi, UAE as the location.
Full-time employment.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare electrical designs, calculations, drawings, and technical reports.
- Develop and review SLDs, load schedules, cable sizing, voltage drop, short-circuit, and protection calculations.
- Design and review LV, 11kV, and 33kV electrical systems.
- Prepare electrical layouts, equipment schedules, specifications, and BOQs.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, other engineering disciplines, and relevant authorities.
- Support technical submissions, NOCs, approvals, and tender documentation.
- Review shop drawings, material submittals, and technical proposals when required.
- Ensure designs comply with UAE authority requirements, international standards, and project specifications.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
- Relevant experience in electrical design and engineering consultancy.
- Good knowledge of AutoCAD and electrical design/calculation software.
- Experience with power distribution systems and electrical calculations.
- Familiarity with TAQA Distribution / ADDC requirements is an advantage.
- Strong technical reporting and coordination skills; good command of English.
- UAE consultancy and infrastructure/power distribution experience is encouraged.
