About This Role

About the Role

Al Salama Hospital is seeking a qualified and detail-oriented EHS Technician to join our Facility Management and Safety team. The ideal candidate will support the effective operation, maintenance, and compliance of fire alarm and safety systems across the hospital while ensuring alignment with safety regulations, operational standards, and emergency response procedures.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform routine inspection, testing, and preventive maintenance of fire alarm systems.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot faults, wiring issues, and device malfunctions.
  • Ensure compliance with NFPA standards and Civil Defense regulations.
  • Prepare maintenance logs, service reports, and compliance documentation accurately and on time.
  • Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, maintenance contractors, and external authorities when required.
  • Support emergency response activities and assist during incident investigations.
  • Monitor and support emergency lighting and fire suppression systems.
  • Follow hospital safety policies, procedures, and humanization standards in all assigned duties.

Requirements

Essential Experience

Minimum 3 years of experience in fire alarm systems installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

Desired Experience

Experience in healthcare or facility management environments.

Essential Education

  • Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, or related field.
  • Valid fire alarm technician certification.

Desired Education

Relevant technical certifications in fire alarm systems.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems (Honeywell, Siemens, Notifier, Simplex).
  • Understanding of NFPA standards and Civil Defense regulations.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical and wiring systems.
  • Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
  • Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and respond to emergencies professionally.
