EHS Classroom Substitute

High School Diploma required; CDA with infant/toddler credentials preferred

Obtain a Food Handler’s Certificate within 90 days of hire

Complete CPR and First Aid Certification within 90 days of hire

Pass an FBI background check (upon hire and every five years) and a TB test upon hire

Engage children in age-appropriate learning experiences under teacher guidance to support school readiness

Adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs, including children with IFSPs, behavioral challenges, and diverse abilities

Maintain positive interactions with children and use respectful, supportive guidance techniques

Ensure classroom safety and adhere to child-to-adult ratios at all times

Assist with classroom and playground cleanliness as assigned

Document hours accurately using the electronic timecard program

Support developmental and behavioral assessments for children entering the program

Temporary position running through February 26, 2027. Position may be extended through July 30, 2027 based on program and agency needs

Potential for long-term assignments when available during the temporary employment period
