About This Role
Overview
Reporting to the Group Content Director, the Editor will oversee the overall direction, quality and performance of the brand.
You will manage the monthly magazine, website, social platforms, newsletters and events, ensuring the brand remains authoritative, engaging and commercially aligned.
You will play a central role in forward planning, content strategy, digital growth and brand representation within the regional golf and media industries.
Editorial Leadership
- Define and execute the editorial vision across print, digital and social platforms.
- Manage the end-to-end production process of the monthly magazine, from conceptualisation to print.
- Prepare flat plans and collaborate with commercial counterparts where required.
- Ensure all content is thoroughly edited, subbed and proofed to the highest standards.
- Oversee contributors and manage direct reports.
- Maintain strong forward planning across upcoming issues.
Digital & Audience Development
- Develop and implement a robust digital content strategy.
- Oversee daily website updates and timely coverage of regional and international tournaments.
- Manage SEO strategy and web performance tools.
- Oversee newsletter strategy and database growth.
- Identify opportunities to expand online and offline brand extensions.
Brand Extensions & Events
- Lead the production of special supplements and brand extensions.
- Oversee the Arabic edition of the publication.
- Manage editorial projects such as course rankings and championship publications.
- Provide editorial direction and oversight for branded events, ensuring consistency in look, feel and messaging.
- Represent the brand at industry and corporate events.
- Work with the commercial team to conceptualise and deliver brand events from golf days to award ceremonies
Commercial & Strategic Contribution
- Collaborate closely with the commercial team on client-led projects and branded content.
- Attend client meetings where editorial input is required.
- Contribute to annual budgeting and strategic planning.
- Report regularly on brand performance and future plans.
