Informatica Axon & Data Governance
- Configure and administer
Informatica Axon Data Governance
- including domains, operating model, roles (Data Owner/Steward/Custodian), governance policies, and workflow approvals.
- Design and implement
- business glossary
- , critical data elements (CDEs), policies, standards, controls, and stewardship processes.
- Drive governance operating routines: stewardship councils, issue triage, governance KPIs, and adoption reporting.
- Define and maintain
- governance workflows
- (certification, approval, issue management) and ensure auditability.
Informatica EDC (Enterprise Data Catalog)
- Implement and manage
Informatica EDC
- scanning, metadata ingestion, classification, and catalog curation.
- Configure scanners/connectors for key enterprise sources (e.g., RDBMS, ETL tools, BI tools, cloud platforms).
- Enable and troubleshoot
- data lineage
- (technical & business) and impact analysis across systems.
- Optimize catalog search, tagging, domains, and asset relationships to improve data discoverability and reuse.
Integration & Enablement
- Integrate Axon ↔ EDC metadata synchronization and ensure alignment between business glossary and technical metadata.
- Collaborate with data engineering, ETL, BI, security, and architecture teams to onboard new platforms and datasets into the catalog.
- Define
- onboarding playbooks
- , standards, and templates for data asset registration and stewardship.
- Conduct user training sessions for business and technical teams to drive governance and catalog adoption.
Support & Continuous Improvement
- Provide L2/L3 SME support for production issues, upgrades, performance, and enhancements.
- Participate in release planning, regression testing, and validation for Axon/EDC upgrades and patches.
- Build dashboards/metrics to track catalog coverage, glossary completeness, stewardship effectiveness, and lineage availability.
Core Technical Skills (Must Have)
- Strong hands-on experience with

- Proven capability in

- Experience with

- end-to-end lineage

- Working knowledge of
- RDBMS concepts
- , SQL fundamentals, and enterprise data ecosystems (DW/Lake/Lakehouse).
- Ability to troubleshoot scanner runs, connectivity, metadata extraction, and Axon-EDC synchronization issues.
Governance & Domain Skills
- Strong understanding of
- data governance frameworks
- , policies/standards, and operating models.
- Experience engaging stakeholders (Data Owners, Stewards, Compliance, Risk, Security) to drive adoption.
- Knowledge of
- data quality
- , reference/master data concepts, and controls is an advantage.
Soft Skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management (business + technology).
- Strong documentation skills (standards, SOPs, onboarding guides).
- Ability to lead workshops, training, and governance forums.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
- Informatica Data Quality (IDQ), Informatica MDM, Informatica Cloud/Data Integration exposure.
- Experience integrating catalog/governance with tools like
ServiceNow/Jira
- , BI platforms, or cloud data platforms (Azure/AWS/GCP).
- Knowledge of
- banking/BFSI domain
- , regulatory and compliance considerations (data privacy, retention, audit).
- Exposure to
Collibra/Alation
(comparative understanding) is a plus.
