Role Description
The Economic Research Manager is responsible for leading economic analysis, market intelligence, and research initiatives to support strategic planning, investment decisions, and business forecasting.
This role focuses on analyzing economic trends, industry developments, financial indicators, and policy impacts while providing data-driven insights and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
Key responsibilities

- Leading economic research, market analysis, and forecasting activities
- Monitoring macroeconomic trends, financial markets, and industry developments
- Conducting quantitative and qualitative research to support business and investment strategies
- Preparing economic reports, market outlooks, and strategic insights for management review
- Analyzing economic indicators, policy changes, and competitive market conditions
- Supporting budgeting, investment planning, and strategic business decision-making processes
- Collaborating with finance, strategy, investment, and business teams on research initiatives
- Managing research methodologies, data collection, and analytical frameworks
- Presenting findings, economic forecasts, and business recommendations to stakeholders
- Supporting risk assessment, scenario analysis, and long-term planning initiatives
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Business Administration, or related field
- 5–8 years of experience in economic research, market intelligence, financial analysis, or strategic research roles
- Strong understanding of macroeconomics, market trends, and economic forecasting methodologies
- Experience with data analysis, financial modeling, and economic reporting tools
- Excellent analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power BI, statistical software, or research platforms
- Ability to manage multiple research projects and analytical priorities effectively
- Strong strategic thinking and commercial awareness mindset
- Experience in financial institutions, consulting firms, government agencies, research organizations, or multinational corporations is an advantage
