About This Role
Overview
- We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Merchandiser to join our Commercial team and play a key role in driving product performance across our retail and online channels.
- The ideal candidate will have strong experience in sales and inventory analysis, assortment planning, and product allocation.
- This role requires close collaboration with Planning, Buying, and Operations teams to ensure the right products are available in the right locations at the right time.
- The Merchandiser will combine strategic thinking with hands-on execution to maximize sales, optimize stock levels, and enhance overall commercial performance.
- What you ll do:
- Inventory Management: Oversee e-commerce inventory, collaborating with E-commerce, Merchandising, Planning, and Marketing teams to maximize sales. Ensure optimal stock levels while maintaining strong sell-through rates.
- Sales Analysis & Performance Monitoring: Analyze sales trends and inventory levels to optimize stock distribution. Track performance, identify gaps, and recommend actionable solutions.
- Opportunity Identification & Risk Management: Identify SKU- and category-level opportunities while proactively mitigating inventory risks. Use data-driven insights to enhance profitability.
- Demand Forecasting & Seasonal Planning: Assist in demand forecasting and seasonal planning for new product launches. Support senior leadership in developing pre-season strategies aligned with top-level category goals.
- Assortment Planning: Define and develop an ideal online assortment based on customer profiles and shopping behaviors to maximize sales.
- Promotional Management & Market Insights: Develop and manage promotional plans aligned with inventory and sales trends. Monitor competitor activity and market trends to refine allocation strategies.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Proactively share inventory updates, including over- and under-stocks, with key stakeholders to optimize inventory turnover.
- Analytics & Reporting: Utilize data to identify sales opportunities across categories. Provide regular reporting on markdowns, seasonal performance, and top-performing SKUs. Support item-level forecasts with ad-hoc analysis.
- Event Support & Recaps: Ensure sufficient inventory for planned promotions and marketing initiatives. Compile post-event recaps to inform future planning.
- Pricing Recommendations: Analyze product performance and pricing to recommend adjustments that align with financial targets, including sales and gross margin.
What We re Looking For
- Bachelor s degree in Marketing, Business, Merchandising, or a related field.
- 4 years of experience in Digital Merchandising or E-commerce.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to derive insights from both quantitative and qualitative data.
- Experience in online strategy with a solid understanding of website or marketplace dynamics.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, data visualization).
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
