Ducting Foreman (MEP)

Role overview

Responsibilities

• Supervise ducting crews, allocate manpower, and organize daily work according to priorities and schedules.
• Oversee installation of GI and pre-insulated ductwork, flexible ducts, dampers, access panels, grilles, diffusers, louvers, and accessories.
• Read approved HVAC/MEP drawings and ensure installation meets drawings, specifications, and project standards.
• Check duct alignment, dimensions, levels, supports, joints, sealing, insulation, and workmanship.
• Coordinate with other trades, resolve clashes and site constraints, and sequence work to avoid delays and rework.
• Track productivity and progress; coordinate materials, tools, equipment, handling, storage, and protection.
• Coordinate QA/QC inspections and assist with leakage testing, commissioning, air balancing, snagging, and handover.
• Rectify defects and inspection comments; ensure supports, hangers, flexible connections, vibration isolation, and access provisions are installed properly.
• Maintain housekeeping and safe work conditions; enforce HSE, PPE, and permit-to-work compliance.
• Report progress, manpower needs, technical issues, shortages, and delays; coordinate timely completion with site teams.

Qualifications and experience

• At least 5 years of HVAC ducting experience, preferably with an MEP contractor.
• Strong practical knowledge of GI and pre-insulated ductwork installation.
• Ability to read and understand HVAC/MEP shop drawings.
• Experience supervising ducting teams and coordinating with MEP trades.
• Good understanding of site safety and quality requirements.
• ITI or diploma in HVAC, Mechanical, or a related technical field is preferred.
• UAE/GCC project experience is preferred.
