Overview

Design or Mechanical Engineer

• who wants to build, learn, test, break things, improve them, and grow with us.
• This is not a standard desk based engineering role.
• We design and build our own aerial systems in house, from small drones to large fixed wing and multicopter platforms.
• Our work supports ecosystem restoration, monitoring, surveillance, MRV, environmental intelligence, and field operations in some of the most challenging environments in the world.
• We are looking for someone who has some hands on experience, but is still early enough in their career to be excited by the chance to learn directly inside a growing company.
• You will work on:
• Designing and modifying drone frames and components
• Supporting the development of fixed wing and multicopter systems
• Creating CAD models for drone structures and mechanical parts
• Supporting stress testing and design validation
• Designing parts that are suitable for 3D printing and field repair
• Improving existing drone designs based on real field feedback
• Working closely with our engineering and operations team to move ideas from design to build to testing
• The right person will have:
• A background in mechanical engineering, design engineering, aerospace engineering, or a related field
• Good working knowledge of CAD software
• Some experience with stress testing or simulation software
• Basic understanding of drone structures, frames, or flight systems
• Basic knowledge of designing parts for 3D printing
• A practical mindset and willingness to work hands on
• Strong attention to detail
• A genuine interest in drones, field technology, and real world problem solving
• This role would suit someone who is not looking for a perfectly defined corporate job, but instead wants to grow with a company that is building something different.
