role is crucial for ensuring the timely and safe delivery of goods, playing a key part in our supply chain operations across the UAE.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate company vehicles to transport and deliver goods to various destinations as per the schedule.
- Plan and follow the most efficient routes for timely deliveries, considering traffic and weather conditions.
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect, and operate the delivery vehicle with the utmost care.
- Ensure all delivery documentation is completed accurately and submitted promptly.
- Adhere strictly to all UAE traffic laws and company safety regulations.
- Maintain the vehicle in a clean and presentable condition, performing routine checks on fuel, oil, and water.
- Report any vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations to management immediately.
- Provide excellent customer service when interacting with clients during delivery.
Qualifications
- A valid UAE driving licence is essential.
- Proven experience working as a professional driver in the UAE.
- A clean driving record with no history of major traffic violations.
- Excellent knowledge of roads and routes within Sharjah and other Emirates.
- Ability to operate and navigate using GPS and other routing systems.
- Strong commitment to safety and professionalism.
- Good communication skills and a courteous demeanour.
- Physical fitness to handle loading and unloading of goods where required.
