Job Qualifications

• The Transportation Aide shall have a current Pennsylvania Driver’s License and proof of insurance. Any event of traffic violation resulting in arrest or fine, or evidence of unsafe driving practices, will be evaluated for possible dismissal.

Job Duties

• 1) It is the responsibility of the TA to maintain a daily contact with the Suites nursing staff to know if appointments are made and to coordinate the transport of residents.
• 2) When possible, it is expected the TA will try to coordinate multiple residents needing to travel in the same direction around the same time.
• 3) Charges for the service are not the responsibility of the TA. The acceptance of tips or any fees/gifts for service are not permitted.
• 4) The TA shall seek direction from nursing staff prior to leaving the Suited any pertinent medical information the TA should know in transporting the resident. ie, if the resident cannot or must not be left alone at any time due to cognitive impairment, etc. The TA shall make certain that the information folder is taken to the medical appointment, completed by the physician, and then returned to the nurses’ station upon return to The Suites at Rouse.
• 5) The Ta is a public representative of the Suites at Rouse and as such should dress in a proper professional manner. (ie. No jeans, outfits that would pose any safety or distraction to the public impression of the Rouse Estate or The Suites at Rouse in particular.
