Job Description

• Utilize computer-aided design software to create 2D and 3D technical drawings.
• Possess knowledge of document process and management operations.
• Calculate dimensions and material requirements accurately.
• Edit technical draughts based on the recommendations of project engineers and architects.
• Outline the project’s construction process clearly in technical drawings.
• Describe production methods step-by-step (including equipment and software types to be used)
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively within a team, taking direction from project managers and Engineers.
• Time management skills to complete error-free work with the required timeframe.
• Maintain a proactive approach to problem-solving and design adjustments.

Key Responsibilities

• Following specifications and calculations to create various technical drawings.
• Preparing both rough sketches and detailed work with CADD systems.
• Performing calculations for materials and weight limitations.
• Communicating with architects and engineers, and incorporating knowledge gained into drawings.
• Prepare, review and redraft designs alongside the AV Design, IT, SEC, Project management & Pre-Sales teams.
• Familiarity with Avixa standards and best practices.
• Create and maintain a drawing register for relevant projects.
• Ensure final designs comply with building regulations and industry standards.
• Identify and communicate potential design problems to the team proactively.
• Attend weekly Project Management meetings to discuss project progress.
• Make sure that the drawings are uploaded into the pre-approved shared folder
• Organize and save relevant information received from PM, sales or presales team into designated folder structure for further processing.
• Create and manage the project Specification Register and O&M Manual for project submission.
• Generate Project Warranty & completion certificates to related to specific projects.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements to enhance design quality and efficiency.
• Sync Fluke test reports from fluke machine and download them to the specific project folder for submission.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of drafting process and techniques.

Key Requirements

• Proven work experience as a Drafter or in a similar role within the AV/IT/ELV industry.
• Degree from a technical college or equivalent.
• Experience in computer-aided design and drafting (CADD).
• Ability to draw manually favourable, but not essential.
• Ability to work well in a team and on your own.
• Ability to respond well to criticism and maintain a positive attitude.
• Ability to meet project deadlines consistently.
