Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Draftsman role based in Riyadh.
The Draftsman will prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings and shop drawings for aluminum profiles, assemblies, and related components in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
Daily responsibilities include interpreting architectural and engineering drawings, collaborating with design, production, and sales teams, and updating drawings based on feedback or design changes.
The role involves maintaining drawing files and documentation, ensuring dimensional accuracy and manufacturability, and coordinating with production to resolve design or fabrication issues.
The Draftsman will also support continuous improvement by suggesting design optimizations that enhance product quality, performance, and production efficiency.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar) for creating precise 2D and 3D technical drawings.
- Strong understanding of engineering and architectural drawings, including dimensions, tolerances, and material specifications.
- Experience with aluminum extrusion or metal fabrication drawings, including profiles, sections, and assembly details (preferred).
- Ability to review and interpret project specifications, standards, and client requirements accurately.
- Strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills for resolving design and manufacturability issues.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with engineering, production, quality, and sales teams.
- Organizational skills to manage multiple projects, versions, and drawing revisions within set timelines.
- Technical diploma or degree in Drafting, Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, quality standards, and safety practices in an industrial environment.
- Willingness to work on-site in Riyadh and adapt to a fast-paced, production-oriented setting.
