• Etqan Global Academy is looking to recruit a DP Mathematics Teacher (Applications & Interpretation) to join our team in Doha, Qatar.
• Etqan Global Academy (EGA) is a values-driven IB World School in Doha, Qatar, offering the IB Diploma Programme (DP) and IB Career-related Programme (IBCP).
• We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced DP Mathematics Teacher to inspire our students to see Mathematics as a powerful tool for understanding and solving real-world problems, delivering IB Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation at SL and/or HL.
• The role:
• We seek an individual to join as DP Mathematics Teacher (Applications & Interpretation) where your focus will be:
• Planning and delivering outstanding DP Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation lessons at SL and/or HL, aligned with IB curriculum requirements and examination expectations
• Developing students' mathematical thinking, modelling skills, statistical literacy, and effective use of technology including GDC and mathematical software
• Managing the Internal Assessment (Mathematical Exploration) process, providing structured guidance, support, and feedback to students
• Preparing students effectively for IB external examinations through rigorous, data-informed teaching
• Differentiating effectively to meet the needs of all learners including students with additional needs or EAL
• Teaching MYP Mathematics where timetabled, maintaining high standards and inquiry-based approaches
• Contributing to the Mathematics department and the wider life of EGA
• The Successful Candidate will possess:
• A recognised teaching qualification and a degree in Mathematics or a closely related discipline
• Proven experience teaching IB DP Mathematics, ideally Applications and Interpretation (AI)
• Knowledge of IB DP assessment, Internal Assessment processes, and examination preparation
• The ability to use GDC, mathematical software, and technology effectively to support learning
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and differentiation skills
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
• IB DP Mathematics workshop training desirable; international school experience desirable
• Ability to meet visa requirements for working in Qatar
