About This Role
Overview
We are seeking an experienced **Senior Downstream Value Chain Optimization SME** to support a strategic Value Chain Optimization deployment for a leading Oil Company.
The role will serve as the primary downstream business expert, driving alignment across refining, blending, allocation, distribution, and commercial optimization functions.
This is a business-focused domain leadership role, not a technical architecture position.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead downstream domain activities for the Value Chain Optimization program.
- Validate business requirements across refining, blending, allocation, distribution, and commercial operations.
- Align downstream optimization initiatives with upstream planning and supply inputs.
- Translate operational and margin optimization objectives into actionable business requirements.
- Engage with refinery engineers, planning economists, operations teams, and executive stakeholders.
- Drive stakeholder alignment, scope prioritization, and business sign-offs.
- Support solution validation, UAT readiness, and business acceptance activities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline.
- 10+ years of Oil & Gas experience with strong downstream expertise.
- Proven experience in Value Chain Optimization or integrated planning programs for NOCs or major Oil & Gas operators.
- Strong knowledge of refining economics, blending, allocation, distribution, and commercial optimization.
- Experience operating as a business/domain SME rather than a technical architect.
- Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills.
- GCC and NOC project experience highly preferred.
- Arabic language not mandatory.
