Role overview
The Doorman welcomes and assists resort guests and visitors and supports a smooth arrival and departure experience.
Guest and vehicle assistance
- Welcome arriving guests, assist them out of vehicles, open doors, escort them to the lobby or reception, and bid guests farewell as they depart.
- Give directions to local destinations and arrange taxis or other transportation.
- Direct taxis, limousines, buses, and other vehicles; keep driveways clear and prevent illegal stopping or parking.
- Respect guest privacy and confidentiality; handle luggage carefully and follow Lost & Found procedures for items left in vehicles.
- Maintain workplace cleanliness, use equipment and supplies properly, and assist drivers, valet parking, and bell attendants.
- Resolve and record complaints professionally, escalate serious cases when needed, and report guest comments or complaints.
Qualifications
- Previous customer-service experience, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, professional grooming, attention to detail, and multitasking ability.
- Remain calm under pressure; able to stand for extended periods and lift or carry heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
