Role purpose

Architecture and delivery

• Develop architecture deliverables for new deals and major change requests.
• Create and maintain roadmaps aligned with business strategy and enterprise standards.
• Design solutions for operational requirements including scalability, security, reliability, and availability.
• Guide solutions from concept to production delivery and support.
• Oversee product and platform engineering, protocol mapping, and virtualization as required.
• Lead or participate in research, proofs of concept, and prototypes for new technologies.

Consulting and planning

• Partner with IT and business groups to clarify needs, plan systems, and align IT products, services, and processes.
• Define high-level migration plans from current to future states.
• Advise solution architects, junior staff, and others on use of domain technologies.
• Develop and respond to client RFPs; present architecture recommendations, reusable patterns, and investment roadmaps.
• Analyze technology environments and client requirements; recommend integrations and validate technology, cost, and customer differentiation.
• Track industry and application trends to inform future IT needs.

Qualifications

• Recognized subject matter expertise in a specific domain and ability to advise stakeholders.
• Ability to design feasible, supportable solutions that meet operational and architectural requirements.
• Ability to collaborate with IT, business, enterprise architecture, OEM, and technical stakeholders.
