Role Description
The DOH Registered Homecare Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in their homes, ensuring safe, effective, and patient-centered services in alignment with DOH and organizational standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include assessing patient conditions, administering medications and treatments, managing wound care, monitoring vital signs, and documenting all care activities accurately.
The nurse will educate patients and families on care plans, disease management, medication use, and preventive health practices, while coordinating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to support continuity of care.
This role also involves maintaining infection control practices, reporting changes in patient status promptly, and participating in case conferences and quality improvement initiatives.
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abu Dhabi Emirate, United Arab Emirates, requiring travel to patients’ homes within the service area.
Qualifications
- Strong clinical Nursing skills, with current DOH (Department of Health – Abu Dhabi) registration and licensure.
- Foundational knowledge in Medicine relevant to homecare settings, including chronic disease management and basic pharmacology.
- Proficiency in Home Care practices, including home safety assessment, care planning, and coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
- Demonstrated expertise in Patient Care, focusing on compassionate, culturally sensitive, and person-centered support.
- Competence in Wound Care, including assessment, dressing changes, infection prevention, and healing monitoring.
- Previous experience in home healthcare or community nursing is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to varying home environments.
- Basic computer skills for electronic documentation and reporting.
- Valid UAE residency and eligibility to work, with a clean professional record.
