Role overview

Document control duties

• Coordinate document flow between project operations, engineering disciplines, construction teams, and other department groups.
• Process document types through established procedures and ensure numbering, signature, and approval requirements are met.
• Receive, track, and monitor documents; register them, maintain databases, and produce logs, transmittals, and reports.
• Enter data and produce reports using office automation or department-specific applications; scan documents for electronic storage.
• Maintain project data distribution systems and schedules based on client, project, department, and supplier requirements.
• Expedite review, signature approval, and release of supplier and internally produced documents.
• Assist junior document control staff with project-specific procedures; perform related clerical and other appropriate duties.

Required qualifications and skills

• Degree or diploma in a related discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of document control experience in an engineering design or consulting environment.
• Proficient keyboard skills and working knowledge of MS Windows and related word processing, spreadsheet, and database software.
• Strong experience with ACONEX and PROCORE document management tools.
• Good written and oral communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills; ability to interact effectively with project personnel and management.
