Dubai Media Council is seeking a qualified and experienced Lead Specialist – Legal to provide legal advisory services, ensure regulatory compliance, and support the Council in managing legal matters in accordance with applicable UAE laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal advice and guidance to senior management and internal departments on contractual, regulatory, and operational matters.
• Review contracts, agreements, policies, and legal documents to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Coordinate with Dubai Government Legal Affairs Department on legal matters, contracts, disputes, and litigation.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess their impact on the Council's operations.
• Support the development and implementation of legal compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls.
• Collaborate with Human Resources, Procurement, Finance, Internal Audit, and other departments to identify and mitigate legal risks.
• Advise on intellectual property protection, data privacy, and relevant regulatory requirements.
• Maintain effective relationships with government regulatory authorities and external legal service providers.
• Prepare legal compliance reports and provide recommendations to support management decisions.
• Promote legal awareness and compliance across the organization.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Law.

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years of relevant professional experience in legal advisory, legal affairs, or a similar role.
• Minimum 3 years of experience working within a team.

Technical Skills and Competencies:

• Expert knowledge of UAE laws, regulations, and government legal procedures.
• Strong experience in contract drafting, review, and management.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance, dispute management, and legal risk assessment.
• Familiarity with data protection and privacy regulations, including GDPR and CCPA.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
• Strong analytical, legal research, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective stakeholder management, teamwork, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage priorities, maintain confidentiality, and deliver results within established timelines.
