Lead and oversee road transport operations across assigned locations.
Deliver safe, efficient, reliable, and cost-effective operations through fleet and manpower utilization, vehicle availability, maintenance coordination, and cost control.
Embed safety and environmental sustainability in business strategy and daily operations while achieving business objectives and KPIs.
Fleet, drivers, costs, and safety
- Monitor daily fleet utilization, availability, mileage, and downtime; coordinate with maintenance to improve availability.
- Schedule drivers, monitor availability and utilization, meet daily customer needs, and minimize idle time.
- Monitor fuel consumption, investigate abnormal usage, and reduce unnecessary running and fuel costs.
- Monitor tyre utilization, replacement, and performance; maximize tyre life and coordinate inspections and corrective actions.
- Promote a strong safety culture and ensure driver compliance with company safety standards.
- Conduct en-route spot checks, pre-loading checks, and vehicle integrity checks; report incidents and participate in investigations.
Customers and operational performance
- Coordinate with customers on daily orders and operational needs, resolve issues, and improve service satisfaction.
- Increase revenue through increased truck utilization.
- Coordinate with maintenance to improve fleet availability, reliability, preventive maintenance, and resolution of recurring vehicle issues.
- Identify and implement improvements in efficiency, productivity, and cost effectiveness; establish KPIs and report performance.
- Plan, control, and monitor daily operations and prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stakeholder reports.
- Participate in customer engagements and business performance reviews, align operational teams, and follow up on customer payments.
