Talabat is an on-demand food and Q-commerce platform operating across eight countries in the region and is part of Delivery Hero.

Role overview

Regional leadership role in the CIO office, working across all eight talabat markets in food and Q-commerce.

Drives business performance, owns cross-market strategic initiatives, and partners with the CIO and market managing directors.

Leads a team of around five, with responsibility for their development, performance, and growth.

Combines senior stakeholder engagement with hands-on execution alongside market teams, from diagnosing issues to delivering solutions.

Regional performance and P&L

Oversee performance across markets, tracking trends, anomalies, and opportunities across Food and Q-commerce.
Partner with market MDs and regional finance on budgeting, forecasting, and Best Estimate cycles; hold markets accountable to financial targets and surface risks and corrective actions.
Prepare data-driven performance reviews and strategic recommendations for ExCo.

CIO partnership and strategic projects

Synthesize complex business situations into recommendations and prepare the CIO for ExCo reviews, regional check-ins, and senior leadership forums.
Drive cross-market alignment and coordinated execution; represent the CIO in cross-functional and cross-market discussions as required.
Travel to markets, diagnose underperformance, co-develop turnaround plans, and lead strategic projects from scoping through delivery.

Innovation and team leadership

Identify innovation opportunities and work with regional and market teams to test, scale, and embed new tools and ways of working.
Lead AI adoption across performance functions, identifying high-value use cases and owning rollout.
Build and lead a lean, high-performing team; set goals, provide feedback, develop team members, and foster ownership and continuous improvement.

Experience and capabilities

10+ years of experience in high-growth tech, market leadership or chief of staff roles, strategy, management consulting, or investment banking.
Willingness and ability to travel regularly across MENA and work hands-on with market teams.
Strong financial acumen, including P&L ownership, financial modeling, and budgeting; highly analytical.
Able to operate at ExCo level and manage senior stakeholders across multiple markets.
Experience leading turnaround projects or end-to-end cross-functional strategic initiatives.
Comfortable with ambiguity and able to structure and move quickly without perfect information.
AI fluency, including applying AI tools to improve analytical and operational efficiency.

Work arrangement

The role requires regular travel across MENA and hands-on work alongside market teams.
