Role overview

Project leadership and delivery

• Establish governance and controls for the project portfolio; oversee planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and operational projects.
• Develop project portfolios, schedules, budgets, and resource plans, and manage key milestones.
• Improve PMO standards, methodologies, reporting mechanisms, and project controls.
• Provide executive reporting on project performance, risks, dependencies, and budget status.

Risk, resources, and performance

• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate stakeholder engagement and communication.
• Identify and manage risks, issues, and scope changes, ensuring timely mitigation.
• Monitor project performance and ensure quality, safety, financial, and operational requirements are met.
• Prioritize and allocate resources across projects and business demands.
• Use lessons learned and performance analysis to promote continuous improvement.

Education and experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or Project Management.
• At least 12 years of relevant project management experience, including complex projects.
• Proven senior project leadership or PMO experience and ability to manage complex cross-functional projects.
• Strong experience in PMO governance, risk management, and resource planning.
• Experience managing senior stakeholders, providing executive-level reporting, and delivering projects from planning through handover.

Additional qualifications

• PMP or PRINCE2 certification is highly desirable.
• A postgraduate qualification in Project Management or a related field is an advantage.
• Strong professional proficiency in English is required; Arabic is an added advantage.
