Role overview

Director of Process Excellence owning the simplify-before-migrate mandate for Acosta’s GBS transformation.

Leads end-to-end process redesign across function families bound for GCC migration.

Process Excellence Lead sign-off is required before a process transitions to a migration wave; the role conditions value realization and AI/automation success.

Primary responsibilities

  • Assess maturity of Wave 1 and Wave 2 processes in Finance, HR Services, Procurement, IT, and Europe SGA; establish productivity baselines.
  • Design standardized future-state processes, eliminate non-value-added steps, remove unjustified business-unit variants, and consolidate duplicates before migration.
  • Own the Simplification Scorecard and enforce a migration-readiness checklist and sign-off gate.
  • Require L3+ mapping, completed SOPs, defined RACI, established baselines, flagged automation, and a ready knowledge-transfer package for migration.
  • Deliver measured quick wins and lead kaizen and value-stream-mapping events for complex processes.
  • Own future-state GBS process architecture for an 18–24 month GCC-plus-AI maturity horizon.
  • Design the dual-hub model across India, Mexico, the retained U.S. team, and business-unit-embedded roles.
  • Support the Global Process Owner function and establish performance reviews, standardization governance, exception management, and a continuous-improvement pipeline.
  • Lead and develop global Process Excellence Analysts across multiple regions and functions.
  • Champion continuous improvement through Lean, Six Sigma, process mining, automation, and data-driven methods.
  • Coach analysts and business stakeholders on improvement methods, change management, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving.

Education and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or a related field, or equivalent years of experience.
  • 8–12 years in process improvement, operational excellence, or GBS/shared-services transformation, including at least 5 years in leadership.
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt preferred; proven quantified productivity improvement track record.
  • Experience with L3–L4+ process mapping, variant analysis, and multi-business-unit standardization.
  • Track record in GCC or shared-services migration using simplify-before-migrate methodology.
  • Experience leading end-to-end process redesign across Finance, HR, or Procurement.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, project-management, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Experience with process-mining tools; Celonis is preferred.
  • Prior GCC setup experience in India or Mexico.
  • Familiarity with GPO governance design and operating-model frameworks.
  • Experience designing automation-ready processes with RPA/AI requirements at the design level.
  • CPG, retail, or commercial-services background is preferred.

Compensation

  • Salary range is USD 143,800–179,800 per year.
