Role Description
The Director of Revenue is a full-time, on-site role based at Anantara Downtown Dubai Hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
This role leads the hotel’s revenue management strategy by setting pricing, inventory, and distribution strategies across rooms, meetings, and ancillary revenue streams to maximize RevPAR and total revenue.
Responsibilities
include analyzing demand and market trends, preparing revenue forecasts and budgets, and optimizing channel mix in collaboration with Sales, Marketing, and Reservations.
The Director of Revenue will conduct regular performance reviews, manage revenue systems and reporting tools, and provide data-driven insights to the executive team.
The role also involves overseeing revenue-related policies, ensuring alignment with brand standards, training team members on revenue management best practices, and supporting commercial plans for key corporate and leisure segments.
Qualifications
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, market trends, and performance reports to make informed, strategic decisions.
- Deep understanding of revenue recognition principles and revenue management practices within the hospitality or travel industry.
- Solid foundation in finance and accounting, including budgeting, forecasting, profitability analysis, and collaboration with finance teams.
- Proven experience supporting and partnering with sales teams to optimize rate strategies, segmentation, and account-level revenue opportunities.
- Extensive background in hotel revenue management at a managerial or director level, preferably in luxury or upscale properties.
- Proficiency with revenue management systems, channel managers, PMS, CRS, and Excel or similar data tools.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Finance, Business, or a related field; an advanced degree or revenue management certification is an advantage.
- Experience in the Middle East market and familiarity with Dubai’s competitive landscape are highly beneficial.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
