About The Job

• Based at the Mandarin Oriental Al Faisaliah Riyadh within the Engineering Department in Riyadh, the Director of Engineering is responsible for the overall Engineering operation and facility management in compliance with all relevant local codes and regulations, as well as Policy & Procedures and the Safe, Sound & Sustainable by Mandarin Oriental manual.
• As Director of Engineering, you will be responsible for the following duties:
• It is part of your role to understand and disseminate/communicate all corporate and hotel Policies & Procedures, Standard Operating Procedures and Human Resources Policy to the colleagues.
• MOHG Code of Conduct requires that all business activities and business decisions comply with the general law, and with all rules, regulations and other requirements.

• Act as a hotel ambassador at all times.
• Establish engineering guidelines, policies & procedures and standard operating procedures to maintain excellent standards of quality and reliability in the hotel.
• Establish a monthly reporting system in order to monitor Key Performance Indicators, guest room maintenance, energy consumption, operational and energy expenses, project updates, LQE activities and other specific tasks.
• Prepare annual and Five-Year capital plan.
• Manage all CAPEX and POMEC projects in accordance with the group policies and procedures.

• Recruitment and selection of qualified technicians and engineers.
• Telecommunication system upgrades or enhancements.
• Assist in annual maintenance of the contingency systems that support IT&T equipment and systems.
• Monitor and prepare forecasts on the hotels POMEC expenses.
• Prepare a summary and analysis of the annual POMEC budget.
• Prepare annual POMEC budgets.
• Ensures that engineering colleague’s performance is monitored and that individual career development programs are developed.
• Monitor and lead labour cost management.
