Director - Interior Design | Real Estate | Asset Development

Role overview

General responsibilities

• Lead the interior design function and multiple projects from concept development to completion.
• Develop interior design brand standards and guidelines aligned with organizational vision and standards.
• Create design and technical standards and FF&E and OS&E specifications.
• Ensure layouts, detailed drawings, and FF&E specifications meet unified schemes.
• Maintain knowledge of current materials, techniques, and interior design developments.
• Assess the market, define requirements, set qualification criteria, and recommend designers.
• Define design scope, manage design agreements and contracts, and control design costs.
• Verify and procure acceptable design documentation for each design stage.
• Conduct periodic on-site observations during construction to monitor compliance with plans.
• Represent the real estate organization in meetings on proposals, contracts, and mock-ups.
• Monitor implementation of departmental KPIs.

Requirements

• Experience leading interior design projects from concept development through construction documentation and completion.
• Ability to manage design consultants, design phases, standards, specifications, and multiple projects.
• Knowledge of materials, techniques, and current developments in interior design.
• Ability to define design scope, manage design agreements, and control design costs.
• Ability to review design documentation, proposals, contracts, mock-ups, and construction compliance.
