Director, Global Manufacturing & Quality Transformation

Role mandate

Transformation and manufacturing leadership

• Redesign the global contract manufacturing network, including site selection, capacity planning, and production transfers, balancing cost, quality, and scale.
• Raise manufacturing and quality maturity by changing how teams, suppliers, and processes operate together.
• Build, lead, and develop a high-performing global manufacturing and quality organization.
• Align Product, Engineering, Supply Chain, Finance, Legal, and Commercial teams on major initiatives.
• Own manufacturing engineering and strategy, transfers, capacity planning, and operational risk, with accountability for time to market, cost, and quality.
• Build supplier and manufacturing partner relationships that improve reliability, agility, and continuous improvement.
• Scale operations to support growth, including entry into new markets or technologies.

Quality and compliance

• Introduce and evolve a Global Quality Management System aligned with ISO and regulatory or customer standards.
• Establish and monitor quality KPIs, lead CAPA for systemic issues, and ensure products meet applicable standards.
• Standards named include UL, CE, FCC, RoHS, and REACH.
• Use compliance training, documentation, and certification to support broader transformation.
• Identify and mitigate operational, quality, and compliance risks across the supply chain and manufacturing network.

Experience and qualifications

• Proven record transforming manufacturing or operations functions across multiple countries and cultures.
• 15+ years of senior leadership experience in global manufacturing, operations, or supply chain.
• Experience with complex multi-country production transfers and supplier network transformation is ideal.
• Engineering, Manufacturing, or Quality degree, or equivalent leadership experience; a master's degree is preferred.
• Working knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and international product compliance frameworks.
• Experience building and developing high-performing teams, with excellent cross-cultural communication and stakeholder influence skills.
• Comfort with ERP systems including PtP, Demand-to-Build, and QTC, and tools including SharePoint, Teams, and CAD; deep hands-on technical mastery is not required.
