Responsibilities
- Lead audits of ADGM-regulated entities and financial services clients.
- Build and maintain relationships with ADGM stakeholders, regulators, and key market participants.
- Ensure compliance with ADGM, FSRA, IFRS, and ISA requirements.
- Act as the primary contact for boards, audit committees, and senior management.
- Drive business development and expand the firm’s presence within the ADGM ecosystem.
- Provide technical guidance on complex financial reporting and regulatory matters.
- Mentor senior audit professionals and maintain high audit quality standards.
- Support audit strategy and portfolio management; organize and review work and oversee managers and associates.
- Lead strategic initiatives and foster innovation to exceed client expectations.
Candidate requirements
- 11+ years of external audit experience in a top international firm and extensive post-qualification audit experience.
- Professional qualification: ACA, CPA, or ACCA.
- Confidence in IFRS, internal controls, and financial statement consolidation.
- Strong UAE public sector client network and an established financial services network, particularly in Abu Dhabi and ADGM.
- Interest in business development and developing team strategy; significant audit leadership experience in practice.
- Experience with large audits, complex groups, and complex technical matters; strong knowledge of compliance and regulation.
- Experience leading audits of ADGM-regulated entities, including banks, asset managers, funds, and other financial services businesses.
- Strong understanding of ADGM and FSRA regulatory requirements.
