Key responsibilities

• Define and execute the international engineering vision and roadmap aligned with product and business strategy.
• Build and lead high-performing teams across platform, backend, client, data, and machine learning disciplines.
• Enable multi-tenancy in selected subsystems to make the international offering equally feature-rich.
• Build tooling and processes so engineering teams can develop, verify, and deploy globally as efficiently as teams in India.
• Ensure reliability, scalability, security, observability, cost efficiency, and engineering quality.
• Partner with Product, Design, Content, Advertising, Data Science, Business, and external partners to shape strategy and deliver outcomes.
• Turn ambiguous business opportunities into technology platforms, execution plans, and measurable milestones; foster ownership, innovation, technical judgment, and outcome orientation.

Skills and experience

• Experience leading multiple software engineering teams and engineering managers responsible for large-scale consumer or platform products.
• Proven experience building zero-to-one products or platforms and scaling them through multiple stages of maturity.
• Strong understanding of consumer product development and balancing user experience, technology, and business outcomes.
• Experience integrating with external platforms and building extensible APIs, partner frameworks, or platform capabilities.
• Track record delivering complex cross-functional initiatives involving multiple engineering and business teams.
• Ability to operate effectively in ambiguity and rapidly evolving problem spaces.
• Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and retain engineering talent and build effective leadership layers.
• Excellent written and verbal communication to explain technical strategy and trade-offs to technical and business stakeholders.

Preferred education and experience

• Preferred: Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Machine Learning, with 13 or more years of software development experience and 5 or more years in leadership roles.
