About ASME RIT Dubai
ASME RIT Dubai is a student chapter of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers.
The chapter promotes multidisciplinary engineering and allied sciences, develops students’ technical knowledge and confidence, and offers academic and professional opportunities.
Activities, workshops, and events support engineering skills, critical and creative thinking, and an engaging campus experience.

The Director leads the strategic direction, operations, and growth of the student chapter.
This is a full-time, on-site leadership role based in Dubai.
Responsibilities
- Plan and execute events, workshops, and initiatives supporting engineering education and professional development.
- Coordinate with faculty advisors and institutional leadership; manage committees and volunteers.
- Oversee budgeting and resource allocation, partnerships, member engagement, and recruitment.
- Monitor chapter performance, ensure alignment with ASME guidelines, and represent the chapter at meetings, conferences, and outreach activities.
Qualifications
- Leadership and management skills, including team supervision, strategic planning, and decision-making.
- Organizational and project management skills; effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of engineering education and student development, preferably in mechanical or multidisciplinary engineering.
- Experience in event planning, community engagement, or student organization leadership.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai and commit to a full-time academic-environment schedule.
- Proficiency with digital communication, collaboration, and social media tools.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, education, management, or a related field; advanced study or relevant certifications are advantageous.
