Director and Practice Lead, Data Engineering

Opportunity

Practice leadership responsibilities

• Set the multi-year practice vision in line with enterprise Data & AI demand.
• Own pipeline, pricing, delivery margin, revenue growth, and overall commercial performance.
• Build Google Cloud partner and client executive relationships to generate deals and expand accounts.
• Lead the practice’s position on ethical AI and data democratisation.
• Invest in reusable IP, data accelerators, and delivery assets.
• Advise client C-suite executives on data strategy, AI adoption, and organizational capabilities.
• Hire and develop talent and set standards for engineering and analytical excellence.

Experience and competencies

• 12+ years in data or AI consulting, including 3–5 years in practice leadership or an executive role.
• Proven P&L ownership of revenue, margin, and growth in consulting or professional services.
• Strong command of modern data architecture, AI and ML trends, cloud-native platforms, and enterprise data governance.
• Ability to advise and build trust with C-suite stakeholders on complex, ambiguous problems.
• Experience generating pipeline and closing complex, multi-stakeholder engagements.
• Experience hiring, developing, and retaining senior data engineering and consulting talent.

Compensation

• Listed compensation range is CAD 211,000–CAD 302,000; no pay cadence is specified.
