Direct Support Professional - Part Time

PAY RANGE: $20 - $20.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience and certifications)

We are seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) who values people for who they are and is excited to walk alongside adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities as they engage in the activities they love and pursue their goals.
• We are seeking compassionate, energetic, and reliable Personal Support Staff to provide direct one-on-one support to individuals with intellectual disabilities in a residential and community-based setting.

Work Schedule

• Saturday and Sunday 10 AM - 6 PM ; Monday and Wednesday 4 PM - 8 PM
• Using a person-centered planning approach , the Personal Support Staff will assist individuals in achieving their personal goals, building independence, and actively participating in their communities. The ideal candidate enjoys being active and engaging in community activities and recreational outings.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to supporting individuals during community-based activities such as swimming, bowling, visiting museums, attending movies, and exploring other interests and opportunities that promote social inclusion and personal growth. Candidates should be passionate about enhancing the quality of life for the people they support and committed to fostering meaningful community connections.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide person-centered support.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel within the community.
• Flexible availability for weekend and evening shifts.

Minimum Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete)
