As a DSP Substitute, you'll step in where you're needed most to ensure the individuals we serve receive exceptional support and care.

Assist individuals with personal care, meal preparation, housekeeping, and daily living activities.

Encourage self-advocacy, personal growth, and community participation.

Promote choice, dignity, and independence in everyday activities.

Administer medications and treatments following agency and Ohio DODD guidelines.

Monitor health and safety needs.

Assist with mobility, transfers, and adaptive equipment when needed.

Accompany individuals to recreational activities, appointments, shopping trips, and community events.

Create meaningful opportunities for social engagement and inclusion.

Help individuals build connections and enjoy experiences that matter to them.

Drive agency vehicles and transport individuals safely to appointments, programs, and activities.

Maintain safe driving practices and vehicle cleanliness.

Complete accurate documentation and records.

Communicate important information with team members, supervisors, medical professionals, and support teams.

Protect confidential information and maintain HIPAA compliance.
