About the Role

Responsibilities May Include

• · Provide respectful one-to-one support at home and in the community.
• · Help individuals participate in meaningful activities, hobbies, errands, appointments, recreation, and social opportunities.
• · Teach and reinforce daily living, communication, social, safety, and independence skills.
• · Encourage individual choice, self-advocacy, community inclusion, and healthy relationships.
• · Assist with routines and activities of daily living when required by the individual’s plan and the specific assignment.
• · Follow individualized behavioral, medical, safety, and support instructions within DSP scope and training.
• · Maintain the individual’s health and safety and promptly report concerns through the appropriate chain.
• · Complete required service documentation accurately and on time.
• · Clock in and out as required and maintain dependable attendance and communication.
• · Maintain confidentiality, professional boundaries, dignity, and respect at all times.

Qualifications

• · Caring, patient, dependable, and comfortable working one-to-one with an adult with developmental disabilities.
• · Strong communication skills and ability to follow individualized instructions.
• · Ability to complete required documentation and use mobile/online systems for scheduling and service records.
• · Ability to complete all required background checks, onboarding requirements, and state/agency-required training.
• · Reliable transportation and valid driving credentials when required for a specific assignment.
• · DSP, caregiving, behavioral health, education, human services, CNA, HHA, or related experience is helpful, but not required for every opportunity.

Schedule & Compensation
