Role overview

Education and experience

• High school diploma or GED and 6 years of engineering maintenance or related experience; alternatively, a two-year degree in building construction, engineering, mechanical engineering, or a related field and 4 years of relevant experience.
• Technical training in HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, or plumbing is required.

Engineering operations and budgets

• Manage mechanical equipment and systems, service contracts, engineering budgets, controllable expenses, and energy use.
• Develop engineering operating strategy and action plans; review financial reports and prepare weekly and period-end profit-and-loss assessments.
• Oversee preventive maintenance, the 10-year asset protection plan, capital projects, and construction delivery within budget and schedule.
• Maintain fire safety systems and ensure firefighting personnel understand procedures, equipment, and alarms.
• Keep permits, approvals, and certifications current and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
• Lead emergency response for equipment issues.

People and guest support

• Lead and support engineering staff, communicate operational expectations, and address employee concerns fairly and consistently.
• Address guest issues and complaints, escalating matters to Human Resources when appropriate.

Schedule and location

• Full-time management position at the hotel location on Corniche Road in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.
