Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Dimensional Control Engineer, based in Doha, Qatar.
The Dimensional Control Engineer will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and precision of measurements and alignments required for ship repair, ship conversion, and offshore structure fabrication.
Key responsibilities
include using advanced measurement tools, analyzing data to ensure compliance with specifications, troubleshooting dimensional control issues, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to maintain high-quality standards.
The engineer will also contribute to the improvement of processes relating to dimensional accuracy and control.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge and experience in Process Control to manage and optimize dimensional measurement processes
- Expertise in Electrical Engineering to troubleshoot and handle electrical systems related to dimensional control
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting and problem-solving for operational challenges in dimensional accuracy
- Background in Motion Control and Robotics to operate and calibrate advanced measurement systems
- Attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards in all tasks
- Strong ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field; additional certifications in dimensional control or metrology are a plus
- Prior experience in maritime or offshore engineering environments is preferred
