About the role

A digital marketing team seeks motivated college students with basic SEO knowledge and some hands-on experience.

The intern will work on real projects to improve website visibility, search rankings, and organic traffic while developing SEO skills.

Key responsibilities

  • Conduct keyword research and competitor analysis.
  • Optimize website pages, titles, meta descriptions, and headings.
  • Assist with on-page and off-page SEO activities; support backlink building and link outreach.
  • Identify technical SEO issues and assist with website audits.
  • Monitor keyword rankings, organic traffic, and website performance.
  • Optimize blog content and assist with publishing.
  • Use SEO tools to track performance and identify improvement opportunities.

Requirements

  • Must be currently enrolled in a college or university.
  • Basic knowledge of SEO principles and search engine optimization techniques; some practical SEO experience through academic projects, personal websites, freelance work, or previous internships.
  • Familiarity with Google Search Console, Google Analytics, Ahrefs, or SEMrush.
  • Good research, analytical, and communication skills; willingness to learn and stay current with SEO best practices.
  • Ability to manage internship responsibilities alongside academic commitments.

Compensation

  • The internship is unpaid.

Duration

  • The internship lasts 3–6 months.

Workplace

  • The internship is remote.
