Programme overview

Ankura's AI by Design Graduate Programme introduces participants to AI strategy, AI governance engineering and AI workforce transformation.

Participants support client teams, internal transformation and commercial go-to-market activities, with meaningful client work.

The programme combines strategic thinking with hands-on AI building and testing to help organisations adopt AI responsibly and demonstrate value.

Programme work

  • Support client teams across the programme's three solution pillars.
  • Connect business opportunities with working solutions and help measure and prove value.
  • Contribute to internal transformation and commercial go-to-market activities.

Learning and development

  • Build a rounded understanding of AI transformation through rotations, practical project work and learning alongside specialists.
  • Gain exposure to technology and frontier AI ecosystem partners.
  • Develop platform experience and hands-on building skills, with opportunities to grow confidence and responsibility.

Candidate requirements

  • Be on course for a 2:1 undergraduate degree or equivalent, or above; candidates from all academic disciplines are encouraged to apply.
  • Show curiosity about organisational uses of AI and interest in strategy, responsible technology and people.
  • Be comfortable with ambiguity and willing to learn across the three disciplines.
  • Demonstrate analytical research, evidence assessment, reasoning and a foundation in using data for decisions.
  • Communicate clearly with audiences with different levels of technical knowledge; collaborate, accept feedback and handle client information carefully.
  • Have explored building with AI-assisted tooling such as Codex, Claude Code or Cursor; AI engineering expertise is not required.
  • Show interest in how people experience change and awareness of AI risks and limitations.
  • Coursework, personal projects, coding or low-code experience is useful but not essential.

Application materials

  • Submit an up-to-date CV and a cover letter describing interest in AI Analytics work, a project using AI, data analytics or technology, and its challenge, approach, tools and outcome.
  • Provide a link to a portfolio, GitHub repository, website or other evidence of something built or developed using AI or related technologies.
  • The stated vacancy closing date is 19 October 2026 at 11:59 p.m.
