Salary or Pay Band: Pay Band Dietitian - Degree Senior $39.064 to $47.768

Job Description: Reporting to the Manager of Primary Health Care NW-N, this position offers a variety of experiences throughout SHA (Former Keewatin Yatthe RHA) including providing nutrition expertise to patients (clients, residents) throughout various SHA facilities and community settings to achieve nutrition and health outcomes. The dietitian is responsible for providing medical nutrition therapy through primarily individual outpatient counselling with a focus on chronic disease prevention and management. This position also provides services in acute care, long term care, and acts as a consultant in food services. The successful candidate will have the ability to function independently and as a member of an interprofessional team in a culturally sensitive manner. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

• Dietetic Internship certificate
• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition (BSc(Nutr))

Knowledge and Abilities

• Demonstrated understanding of the prevention and management of chronic diseases

• Registered/eligible with the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians
• Ile-a-la-Crosse is located approximately 220 km north of Meadow Lake

• Valid Class 5 driver's license
• Registered/eligible for registration with the Saskatchewan College of Dietitians
• Registered/eligible for registration with the Dietitians of Canada (DC)
