Dietary Aide

WHAT YOU MUST HAVE

• Ontario Secondary School Diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Ability to organize work, prioritize, and take initiative
• Team and customer focused with the ability to communicate respectfully in a pleasant, flexible, and professional manner with all patients, families, staff and volunteers
• Ability to adapt to changes in assignment throughout a shift, and follow instructions as assigned
• Ability to work with limited supervision
• Physical ability to carry out the essential duties of the position
• Ability to regularly attend work in accordance with the Attendance Support Program
• Acceptable performance record that is aligned with STEGH values and code of conduct
• WHAT WE PREFER YOU TO HAVE:
• Current Safe Food Handlers Certificate issued within the past five (5) years preferred
• Food Service Worker Certificate from an accredited post-secondary institution preferred
• Preference will be given to those with a minimum of one (1) year Food Service experience preferably in a Hospital setting
• HOURS:
• The successful candidate must be available to work all tours applicable to the department. In addition, this position must be flexible to occasional changes in hours when required to meet the operational needs of the department.
