Provides accountability to the Radiology Leader for operating and capital budget performance and fiscal responsibilities. Responsible for the planning, development, implementation of policies, procedures, and systems of the department to contribute to meeting the mission and goals of SMDC Radiology as well as the requirements of Joint Commission, American College of Radiology, Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and other applicable federal, state, and local regulatory agencies. Performs hiring, orienting, counseling, evaluating, and disciplinary actions as warranted. Ensures that staff members are adequately trained and developed.

Required Qualifications:

3 years of work experience as a staff technologist

Certification/Licensure Requirements:

Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Nuclear Medicine Review Board (NMTCB). Must also have current mammography certification through ARRT upon hire/transfer (if in mammography department only) and ARDMS (if in ultrasound department only).

If North Dakota, must have current license on North Dakota Medical Imaging & Radiation Therapy Board of Examiners (NDMIRT) upon hire.
