Diagnostic Imaging Assistant
Role Overview
Delivers nonprofessional services necessary, providing assistance for radiologic procedures.
Responsible for transporting patients to and from the department in a safe, efficient, quick manner, utilizing appropriate tools.
Transports via cart, wheelchair, taxi or bed as needed, and assists with transfer of patients from stretchers to carts, or wheelchairs.
Assists with stocking supplies, and replenishes Oxygen supply for the department.
Communicates with technologists and other imaging staff any delays or changes in patient condition.

Qualifications
- Education:
- Must be a high school graduate or equivalent with GED.
- License & Cert:
- CPR Certification. Addendums are required for 0153 Nurse Leader, 0249 Registry RN, 0252 Registered Nurse, 0235 Advanced Registered Nurse, and 0236 Expert Registered Nurse. To view addendums, go to the job description page on Parkview’s intranet.
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs., 100 lbs. shared lifting. Must have good written and verbal skills. Must be able to work weekends and holidays per schedule.
