DFAC Operations Manager

Overview

📍 Location: United Arab Emirates

Key Responsibilities

• Manage daily DFAC operations supporting U.S. Military programs
• Supervise and coordinate 100+ employees across multiple shifts and departments
• Manage workforce scheduling, rotations, holidays, leave planning, and shift coverage
• Lead and support a multicultural workforce from multiple countries and backgrounds
• Oversee hospitality, dining, and facility support operations
• Supervise DFAC staff, facility staff, and support teams
• Manage building maintenance, equipment readiness, and day-to-day facility operations
• Receive materials from suppliers and ensure proper inspection, documentation, and accountability
• Inspect appliances, kitchen equipment, and DFAC operational equipment to ensure serviceability and compliance
• Control facility-related activities including waste disposal, building security, space allocation, and operational support
• Assist with insurance coordination, planning, reporting, and forecasting requirements
• Ensure food service quality, operational efficiency, safety, compliance, and customer satisfaction
• Maintain strong communication with leadership, clients, suppliers, and onsite teams
• Prepare operational reports, schedules, staffing plans, inventory records, and performance tracking

• Staff Supervision & Training — 100+ staff

• Client & Stakeholder Coordination

• Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

Minimum Requirements

• 10+ years of experience supporting U.S. Military DFAC operations in the Middle East
• Strong background in hospitality, DFAC management, facilities supervision, and life support operations
• Proven experience managing large multicultural and multinational teams
• Strong knowledge of building maintenance, equipment management, supplier coordination, and facility procedures
• Excellent communication skills with the proven ability to manage staff effectively
• Ability to ensure facility procedures comply with UAE local and federal regulations
• Strong English communication skills — speaking, reading, and writing
• Strong computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite — Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
• Valid UAE Driver’s License required
• Ability to work in a 24/7 operational environment under pressure

Preferred

• Previous experience supporting LOGCAP, AFCAP, WEXMAC, DOS, or other U.S. Government programs
• Strong problem-solving, operational planning, and forecasting skills
• Experience in contingency, expeditionary, or remote-site environments is a plus
