Role overview

DevOps leadership and delivery

• Lead and mentor a high-performing team focused on next-generation infrastructure, toolchain modernization, and release automation.
• Integrate legacy infrastructure and release support while migrating services toward unified modern platforms.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines and build performance to reduce build times and increase deployment velocity.
• Provide consistent development environments and standardized tooling to reduce developer setup time and operational friction.

Security and collaboration

• Integrate security standards, dependency tracking, and compliance checks into the SDLC and release infrastructure.
• Balance operational support and technical debt with long-term strategic roadmap goals.
• Collaborate with IT and product teams on unified engineering standards and technical debt prioritization.

Required qualifications

• At least three years leading and motivating DevOps teams.
• At least five years of hands-on development or DevOps experience, with software engineering fundamentals, CI/CD, and DevOps best practices.
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, or equivalent industry experience.
• Deep understanding of Agile methodologies; Jira experience for project management and issue tracking.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Bonus skills

• Familiarity with Git or GitHub is a bonus.
• Bamboo, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar build-tool experience is a bonus.
• Knowledge of Azure, AWS, GCP, or other cloud platforms is a bonus.
• Docker and containerization proficiency is a bonus.

Work arrangement

• Position is based in Vancouver, BC and requires residence in the Greater Vancouver Area.
• Hybrid work schedule requires going into the office.

Compensation

• Target base salary range is CAD 145,000–175,000; the posting does not specify a pay cadence.
